Caretera central

After a few relaxing days in Lima, we decided to hit the road and escape the fog. For the next days we will follow the caretera central to the highest point of our journey at 4812m to la oroya.
10 km out of Lima centre it sunny nice and warm. The roads are crazy but people give us lots of space. Maybe because they are not used to bikers on these roads. They love to honk. Almost every car beeps at us, to give as warning or to cheer us on? We don't know why. But it seems to be friendly since lots of them wave and smile.
Getting out of Lima the suburbs become obviously less wealthy. Every little house seems to sell something (juice, sweets, washing machines...). People put a lot of creativity in little tuk tuks (3 wheeled taxis).
The amount of people on the street is incredible, everybody tries to be louder than his neighbour. My ears hurt after a few hours of exploring the craziness here.
